Therapy, Reimagined for Mothers

For too long, therapy has carried a quiet stigma. Mothers are told to be strong, to carry it all, to never pause. At Selah, we believe true strength is found in honesty. Therapy is not about fixing what is broken. It is about uncovering what is already whole. At the heart of Selah are two women who bring both expertise and lived experience into their work.

Janet Diep, MA, LPC

Janet Diep is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Sex Therapist, and EMDR practitioner. A mother of two teenagers and a two-time gestational surrogate, she blends professional training with personal perspective. Janet creates a safe space for women to untangle trauma, rediscover intimacy, and reclaim identity.

Stephanie Petrey, MA, LCPC, NCC

Stephanie Petrey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with deep experience supporting mothers, children, and families. Trained in attachment-based therapy and Theraplay, she specializes in helping mothers strengthen connection with their little ones while also navigating their own needs.

Together, Janet and Stephanie embody the Selah approach: therapy that is modern, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that mothers deserve to feel whole.
